The season that we hoped would see us bounce straight back to the Premiership has been...and gone so now we look forward to "Howe 2 II"

Millwall travel to Turf Moor following the FA cup weekend break. I hope the break does not make us slow to get into the game... We need the points.

31 of 46, Barnsley 2-0
Barnsley come to the turf as we finish of the first two thirds of the season. Getting back to winning would be good....

The clarets travel to Reading for a six point Friday night game. A result here would signficantly bolster our promotion ambitions but as it happened the single goal bolstered Readings moving them to 3rd whilst we remain in 10th 4 points from the play-off zone.

The posh travel to Turf Moor in search of points whilst the clarets look to continue the winning streak bringing us closer to the play off zone.
As it happened, the clarets clawed back the goal needed to get a point. UTC | 30 of 46, Saints 2-0
A long trip to the south coast for the clarets but the hope that they could maintain their away form and take points from high flying saints was asking too much. Reports talk of a lacklustre performance so lets hope for it just being an off day.

Derby, a point and two places above us is a stiff test of our home form and with both teams keeping a clean sheet it ended all square.

Trips to relegation zone Forrest and to be honest I have no idea what the outcome will be so what a great bit of news to find continued success with an away win and jrod cracking them in.

The second of the festive fixtures sees Hull, flying high in the championship, travel to the Turf. The Clarets end the year with a win moving us to 7th in the table.

Our second game this year in the championship sees us travel to high flying Middlesbrough and show just what we can do with a couple of goals and a clean sheet. UTC

The boxing day clash with Doncaster brings us to the half way point of the season. Here is hoping for a win and a more consistent run in the championship. What a great result for half way, 3-0 taking us up to 9th in the table. | 25 of 46 Leeds 2-1
The Clarets open the new year with a trip across the Pennines. Can we get our revenge for the home result? No we can't! In games similar to 2011, the clarets lose the lead and the game in the last 10 mins. This happens so often it is no longer a Victor Meldrew "I can't believe it" moment. 2 things I don't understand about this game; 1. why did we take our scorer off? and 2. Where did all that extra time come from?

The Clarets welcome those crazy fans from Pompey to the Turf with the hope that our run of wins continues. However!!! once again for the 10 billionth time we give away all the points in injury time. This is getting too much.

Off to the seaside for another 90 mins of football and who knows maybe there will be some injury time too.Amazingly we held on to our slender lead and came away from the south coast with all three points. It is perhaps a good thing that gambling is illegal in Thailand as Lord knows how you predict a clarets game

Dirty Leeds come to the turf, can we halt the decline or do we move deep into the danger zone? That will be a move to the danger zone as the Clarets take the lead in the first half and go in 1 up, it should have been more and it needed to be more as the half time break seems to have put the Clarets to sleep and Leeds score a gift of a goal to equalise then take all the points with a late winner. Mai dee!

The Foxes travel to Turf Moor. Will the managerless Foxes stay ahead of the Clarets or will we grab out 3rd win on the trot?

The Clarets travel to the west country and become Bristols first home victims. A 3rd of the way through the season and things are not looking good for the Clarets. Was the premiership parachute a waste?

The seasiders travel inland to the turf wearing kiss me quick hats no doubt. They came upon the Clarets in cutting form as we say live on TV at Kilkenny Bar Soi LK Metro, Pattaya

27/09/11 Forest come to the Turf whilst the Clarets look for and get their elusive first home win 5-1 with goals from Rodriguez (2),McCann Wallace and Austin. The season starts now? :-)

01/10/11 The Clarets journey to Millwall for a formidable game against a tough team. Will the win over Forest inspire the Clarets? Yes it will at the Clarets take all 3 points and claim their 2nd away win.

24/09/11 Southampton come to the Turf. They are flying and top of the Championship, we are struggling with only 1 win to our name. And so it remains with Southampton getting a late equaliser to Charlie Austin's goal.
